I'm really glad that the unofficial media blackout on them is breaking. I've known of them for years as one of the worst places on the English-language internet, but for a long time there was no organized resistance.
Horrific, isn't it! I heard that they'd found a Russian host, but happily that company bumped them almost straight away for breaching their Ts&Cs. Hopefully they won't be able to find a new host and will die the obscure death they deserve.
Yeah, I know I've been put on Kiwifarms multiple times. (I haven't read what they say, because even clicking their site was known to bring you to their attention.) They have also done mass attacks on folks in my demographics, warnings of which had to be spread through private channels because linking or openly describing what was happening would make you a target.
I got lucky; it didn't come to much. But that kind of thing is the background noise to my online existence.
The site's very name was made to mock their biggest hate sponge's speech impediment, iirc.
