Over on my Tumblr I do maintain a steady trickle of Minoan inspired content, mostly other people's art. But I haven't read an article I could post here in months, let alone drawn anything of my own. hahahaha.

I mean, I haven’t dissected something in… like… I think either the fisher or the Chihuahua was last but that feels like it was a couple months ago. J and I did run a skinning workshop last weekend though, which was particularly fun because we had two Indigenous women in the group and they were thrilled about learning how to skin animals. Reclaiming ancestral skills is such a powerful thing.

It’s a whole 11-hour thing! They come on a Saturday for five hours and skin their rabbits and help us prepare the hides, then they return a week later for six hours and turn their tanned hides into taxidermy mounts. I’m really looking forward to seeing what they come up with!

If you want to change your name, that’s fine too, but I know your brainweasels are probably doing you a bamboozle and telling you you have to prove your identity constantly. But anyone who treats you that way doesn’t have your best interests at heart, and neither does your anxiety. I mean, look at it this way: do you make your trans friends prove our gender to you constantly? Or do you basically take us at our word even if we are wildly inconsistent from day to day about expectations of our assigned gender at birth?
