Incidental holiday_wishes stuff (this year HW is much more manageable at DW, and also I'm not allowing myself to buy gifts I don't already own)

I should really get all of this done in the next 17 days but I don't think I can.

Next year. I should send Happy New Year cards to everyone, to buy myself more time.

Wise decision re: not buying extra gifts

And: here's my take on it, for what it's worth: a Xmas card that comes after Dec. 25th is still appreciated...

...anyway, you can always claim you had the Russian Orthodox/Greek Orthodox/Coptic Christmas in mind... :P

And, in Russia, gifts are exchanged in New Year's, so here's another handy reason:

"I just thought I'd try following a different country's custom, for a change! Variety is the spice of life, we are a diverse society, etc." ;)

Don't make yourself crazy. The world isn't going to end if your cards don't get delivered before the 25th. Give yourself a presence of some slack ;-)

Yeah, there are twelve days of Xmas, after all (although the one time I did a web search on it, results were evenly divided on Xmas being the first day or the zeroth day). So remember, this is supposed to be a happy time of year, and stressed / rushed are not synonyms for happy.
