Disney employees are doing walkouts in protest of Disney's response to Florida's "Don't Say Gay" legalized homophobia

President Biden signed the Violence Against Women act of 2022. Good in general, and of particular note: “Tribal courts will now be able to exercise jurisdiction over non-Native perpetrators of sexual assault, child abuse, sex trafficking and so on." as President Biden put it. I've always been struck by the fact that it's basically been not illegal for non-Indians to go onto a tribe's land and do whatever horrible things they like, because the tribe can't prosecute them and outside authorities won't, and if a law is not enforceable upon someone then it's not really illegal for them to break it. I'm really glad this ragged flapping hole in justice has been patched up, and may this contribute to increased safety and quality of life for Native Americans everywhere.
