Art Post: Three and One

Goodness, it's halfway through November. ANYWAY.n Here are three Inktober pictures plus a new picture I drew because I needed to create.



This is for med_cat the most wonderful, who by asking me to color this in put the whole idea of coloring some of the Inktober doodles into my head. I really like what color did for this one.



I think color helped tell the story here. Also, this broke my heart all over again.



E chose the colors on this one.



I wanted to draw a recursive picture to make something good out of my sucktastic week last week. I thought of a couple with a portrait of themselves, and then remembered the phrase 'Boston marriage' and the drawing went from there.

The sofa has no arms because I couldn't get them to work. But I still like this.

I loved that picture of someone knocking the poisonous mushroom out of her friend's hand, even when it was a plain line drawing. Adding color to the picture made it even clearer how POISONOUS the mushroom is!

The second picture... you can never go back. Even if you do go back, even if it works again, it's not the same. But there are people I miss that way, too...

Miss Backflip's aqua-green dress is lovely!

And I really love the Boston Marriage! The color changes in each recursion are a wonderful touch!

Lovely seeing selected Inktobers with colours! And the recursive Boston marriage is a delight. It's good to channel feelings and energies into creation, bringing new beauty into the world that surely seems to lack it these days.

Yes, the colors do add a nice touch to already delightful images. I particularly like the green, glowing mushroom.

The recursive drawing is especially interesting, with the color changes in each recursion. I think the armless sofa works very well :)

I know you feel challenged about drawing older people, but I'd enjoy versions of the Boston Marriage picture with (a) the couple young and the pictures increasingly old, and (b) vice versa.
