1) J listening to a song from _Transformers: The Movie_ and giving me a Nostalgia Attack
2) _Dirty Jobs_ coming back. Mike whines as entertainingly as ever. He also seems focused on praising/promoting US infrastructre and hardworking people more than ever. I was always suprised he went to the Republicans, being as that he does seem to respect people of color and women and so on.
3) I need to see _The Book of Boba Fett_ not least the _Mandalorian_ epilogue bits omg.

Also, dude can sing. Fun fact: he got his start as an opera singer purely so he could get SAG membership.

Date: 2022-02-03 12:34 pm (UTC)Sheeyun and I are enjoying Boba Fett a lot. The first episode is a little slow, but the themes it's built on are such an antidote for the simplicities of the first six movies. (As of course is a lot of Star Was: Clone Wars.)

I said that more and more professions are realizing how abusive bosses are and the benefits of a union, and then I told him about the time at the hospital when they showed us anti-union propaganda and I couldn't stop laughing. I finished by saying "there is power in a union" and promising to sing it to him when my voice recovers. :)

I'm thinking you're probably a bit young to remember when the AMA had quite a firm grip on the medical industry and strongly opposed social medicine. I have wondered for a while now, as they've more quietly (or at least with less resonance) asked for socialized medicine instead of governance by insurance companies.
