Not only do I love your art for the fun of it, I love looking at your linework and use of color and thinking about those when I draw!

Psst! I'll tell you a secret, if my colour looks good I used a restricted palette, probably from one of those palette challenges on Tumblr!

I totally do not know how to use a restricted palette. That practice looks like an exercise in relating colors to each other based on what the lighting is/is implied to be, about depicting what's actually seen and not the "real" color, and I'm working hard on seeing that way but haven't gotten far yet. I still imagine everyhting under clear white lighting, if that makes senes.

I can't do any of that either. With a palette, I use the colour closest to the "real" colour and try a few to see which one works. Depending on how strict I'm being, I can then desaturate or lighten some colours to make it look better.

The Emma Pole one from this year I actually used bright red with a soft brush on a white background because the palette had simply no white-person colour and I wasn't letting myself desaturate. I'm still amazed it worked.

9: I keep on trying to incoroporate shading. So far without much success, but I'll keep trying.

21 -- dine asked that too. Once I can get back to my computer I will tell both of you about upcoming projects.

#24 : I like the people I draw. They look pretty alive (unless they're meant to be dead.) I enjoy that about my art.
