Inktober: The final set
So here are my remaining Inktober pix, which are a little different from the ones that came before.

#26 has an interesting story. I first drew the amphora’s decorations in black, but the picture was garbled -- how could the viewer tell what was decoration and what was structural? So I put a sticker over the amphora and traced my previous drawing with red and black markers respectively.
I considered writing a note about #27 but decided to see if I could draw it clearly enough that people would know what I was tolkien about. (It *is* clear what I did there, right?)

I mostly tried to keep these cheerful and light but 29 and 30's prompts were irresistible. I could not think of any other interpretation of 29's prompt than the image I tried to capture here. I might color it in.
The first image I drew for #30 was much more generic, but then my melanin prickled all over me and I thought again, and drew this instead, in honor of my ancestors.
I had considered illustrating Shel Silberstein's eponymous poem for #31, but after those two I didn't want to end the month on a complex and wistful note. So, when in doubt, draw a pretty lady. :)
And that was my Inktober! I really enjoyed it. Now to work on Yuletide!

Date: 2017-11-03 11:06 am (UTC)26: Tippy-toeing, trying to remember where the floor squeaks, so she can get to her room without waking anybody up. (I think everybody has done that, whether they're "sneaking in", or just wanting to be considerate of the people who need their sleep.)
27: Is that Rosie "glomph"ing Sam when he comes home from the great adventure? :-)
28: I sure hope Fairy #1 can grab hold of Fairy #2 before she falls too far!
29: Pre-CISE-ly! (I think I like this one the best out of this set.)
30: Everybody wishes for someone who will welcome them, care for them, and love them unconditionally. Some of us find that someone, eventually.
31: Oh, she's going to a Halloween party! ;-)

Date: 2017-11-03 04:24 pm (UTC)I don't think so. The heights are so different, the taller one must be a Human (Tolkien's "Man"), and judging from what we can see of the torso a woman at that.

Date: 2017-11-04 04:14 am (UTC)Ahahah I have trouble drawing pectoeal muscles. But yes, that's a full size human getting kissed by a determined hobbit.

Date: 2017-11-04 01:41 am (UTC)Just as an FYI, I think it's #25 that has the amphora in it?
I hope this does not mean you are going to drastically cut back on posting your artwork after these.

Date: 2017-11-04 04:09 am (UTC)Yeah, it's 25 that has the amphora. Good catch :)
I will slow down a bit -- I have a writing project to work on -- but I have some more art to do. :)

Amen.

Date: 2017-11-05 02:47 am (UTC)And yeah, pretty ladies. :) But one advantage I try to bring to my art of pretty ladies is, as a lady myself, I never let their prettiness obscure their sentience.
