I really REALLY wanted to use my computer to modify 22. After Inktober I'll do so and make it look full of light and glitter.

Again, with no idea what the prompts are:

17: A girl in a diaphanous fairy-like costume, doing a backflip for sheer joy.

18: Two children playing in a mud puddle, gleefully flinging mud at each other with no malice intended.

19: An angel contendedly stretching out for a nap on a soft fluffy cloud.

20: A girl on the end of the diving board, having second thoughts about how far down the water looks.

21:A child having a tantrum, so her annoyed mom carries her away for a time-out.

22: A smiling fairy who leaves a trail of tiny sparkling stars as she flies.

23: A Minoan girl tossing grapes into the mouth of her almost-naked male companion (as a form of foreplay?)

24: Two women fleeing for shelter as they're caught in a hailstorm. One is trying to cover her head with her arm for protection. The other one seems more confident, although she appears to be blind and using a stick to help her find her way.

All of these are exactly what I meant to depict and in three of your descriptions you even used the prompt word! WOOT!

You make it even more fun by often using imagery that most people wouldn't think of for the prompt word, like the two children playing innocently in the mud for "filthy", or the starry sparkles for "trail".

They’re such interesting little scenes, it makes me try to make up stories about what’s happening. And your figures in 17 and 19 are so relaxed and lithe, lovely!

All of these are interesting takes on the prompts, and I love the backflipping one and the fairy one the most.

Also, I've been really lagging behind this week (I only managed to do Day 24 so far /o\), but seeing all your creative interpretations of the prompts is encouraging me to try and do a couple more. So thanks for that. :)

Eee, thank you! The most graceful thing I could think of are the amazing dancers and acrobats, so that's what I drew.

I had two ideas for 'deep', so I went with the funny one, our brave little belle looking doooooooooown at the water.

Wootwoot you recognized the bull dancer! :D But bulls take longer than I currently have time to draw, so I just made her an acrobat on her own.

AHAHAHa prepare for the deluge, but you were probably expecting that from someone named "Minoanmiss". The King Must Die and The Bull From The Sea are two of my favoritest books ever, and I adore the Minoans and have been studying about them for decades. My former LJ has a memories category just for the Minoans... I wonder if I could LJ-book it by itself.

ANYWAY. I adore them, and I should probably draw another bull-leaping scene soon, come to think. (But not during Inktober. I'll need my computer to draw a bull.)

17 - Even in my youth, I could not contemplate doing such acrobatics. :(

24 - Huh. A hailstorm. bnewman has a song about going out in a meteorite shower (with a bucket, not just a baseball catcher's mitt) to capture what's falling. :)

They're all lovely, but my favourite might be the angel in 19., the halo half-sunken into the fluffy cloud. Such a great little detail!

Back flip girl is the personification of joy so intense that it must be expressed physically.

Mud-slinging girls are having a blast being "in the moment"--and their moment is rolling in the mud!

Tantrum girl looks like she is going to get her butt smacked when Mom gets her out of the public eye.

Grape tossing girl has such love and humor in her eyes. The boy looks content to soak it up.

Two ladies in the hail look concerned but not imperiled. It looks like the one with the cane is doggedly heading for shelter while the other is questioning where THIS came from.

Eee, I love these interpretations! You've seen both what I meant to draw (like the little kids enjoying their mud fight) and what surprised me (I meant for the ladies in 24 to look more dramatically imperiled, but I still like how the blind girl is being more practical about getting out of there, not stopping to gawk and wonder like the sighted girl.)
