What should I do with this story?

So I have written about half to a third of a story.

It's different from most of my other works (Original Fic, contains but is not about a same-sex romance, steampunk, rated Teen at most) and I like it and want to finish it. But it's for the Wingfic Challenge which goes live in less than two days.

It's Original FIc so if I don't submit it to a challenge no one will read it.

I cannot write after the day I have had. I have tomorrow off but I would much rather see WD than try to make anything.

So what do I do with this hopefully little story?

Might it be possible to ask the Wingfic mods for an extension?
If the story needs too much processing for that, save it for another go-round when it might be useful.

Finishing it, even if not for this challenge, gives you more options.

It's original fic. That doesn't mean no one will read it, it means you have a chance to make money with it. There are tons of paying markets for short fiction, including self-publishing if you want to go that route.

I have decided, in no small part due to your encouragement, to make this story my While My Computer Is In The Shop project, since all the others are out of reach.
