It's already been rising again as something better than the Confederacy. Not that its apologists and revivalists will respect that truth.

Also worth noting: to make their point, they stole a monument, a piece of property that nothing essential depends on. Theft is theft and I'm not condoning that, but it stands in contrast to those who make their points by, you know, killing people and destroying property and stuff.

Maybe they could replace it instead with a historical monument labeled "FLAGS OF THE CIVIL WAR, 6-NOV-1865" and have USA marked with the union flag on one side and CSA marked with a white flag of surrender on the other.
