Two Georgia Senate Races and thus Control of the Senate.
Can state legislatures override the results of elections and designate whichever presidential electors they choose?
"This Isn't Over!" Trump supporters refuse to accept defeat. *sings AT them* there, it's over.
Five years ago someone I really respected at the time said that because we'd achieved one success, same sex marriage, that those complaining about the loss of the Voting Rights Amendment should shut up because it was time to celebrate. I thought about that when organizing this thought.
We do have a lot of work to do, a lot of issues to contend with. 70 million Americans voted for racism, sexism, transphobia, and fascism, and against science, the social safety net, and basic decency. Neither Biden nor Harris were at all my preferred candidates, for various reasons I won't get into at this time.
I've likened this victory to a door being chocked open. We have a lot to drag through that door, to rebuild, to clean up, to reconstruct. We're going to go back and forth through that door so many times. But as a nation, we barely managed, but we did manage, to vote against having that door welded shut. We still have an opportunity. We still have hope.
And I think that's worth celebrating. Soon we will get back to work, but I am glad to take a moment to see what we've accomplished and to celebrate escaping the direst possibilities. We've earned a moment to be happy.
Last but not least, I've been looking forward to posting this picture for four years.

(And yeah, thinking about it in my own country's context. So much work to do, but oh the relief I felt yesterday afternoon and evening! And in fact, Biden's support for the Good Friday Agreement may in fact nudge my government away from some of the worst possible variants on Brexit ...)

Yes, there is work to do, and it's scary how many people, knowing what was inside the package, voted for a lying fascist thug anyway. It's frightening. We dodged that bullet, but we have to figure out how to wedge that door open wider. But! It's not welded shut, as you said, and this is cause for celebration.
