#11. Do you like having your picture taken? Short answer: when gingicat takes it.

One of the fun things about being much darker than the average/"average" person in my country is that carelessly taken photographs of me tend to render a dark circle with teeth and eye-whites shining out of it. One of TL's arts is photography, and she pays attention, so her photos of me look like me, not a weird gollywog thing. I really appreciate that.

I never liked having my picture taken. I always felt that I didn't really look like that. The userpic there is a selfie "ID picture", meant to be like the photo on a driver's license or passport (I needed it for my legal-cannabis ID card). But, because I had to take my glasses off, it makes me look like a peeled squirrel. A long time ago I created an image from stuff I stole off the 'net. It was a sleek, conventionally sexy "fembot" body with shiny metallic purple skin, and sparks of UV lightning for hair, able to fly in the Superman position. Totally irrelevant to a fat old woman with glasses and ruined teeth.

Would she be willing to share tips? I’m sure even on a fairly non-user-configurable cell phone camera, there are things a person could do to improve.
