Date: 2020-06-16 07:07 am (UTC)Apparently the main "lemony" taste comes from adding citric acid to the pie filling. I'd at least throw in a drop or two of lemon oil. But I do like browning the meringue with one's creme brulee torch. (I actually have a creme brulee torch. But every time I get some heavy cream for making creme brulee, my husband asks me to make panna cotta instead.)
