A topic: what is a recent victory for you? Last night I cooked something I don't even like and I made it delicious. \o/ What's something you succeeded at recently?

Person who knows whom they are: I know your recent victory so you don't have to feel obliged to publicly list it, but/and I am proud of you. *blows kiss*

I have started putting my "I'd like to read this sometime" list where I can find it, with notes about who recommended the book, if I remember. (Some of these have been on my King County Library "for later" list for a year or more.)

I finished digitally transcribing another journal, so now I can search through it and have a back-up in case the original ever gets lost! It was really boring and tedious, so I'm really glad to have gotten it done.

Only two more to go!

Took care of myself by going to the dr, cleaning the house and walking the dog.

Also helped J get some paperwork done and in the mail.

I will just note that the last few days were longer by one, two or three minutes than the previous few days. It's a matter of sunrise doing its own thing regardless of what sunset thinks.

Although most on-line look-ups show the late evening of the 21st as the first day of winter (11:19 PM), my calendars say the 22nd is. Maybe it's a partial day versus a whole day kind of thing.

My most recent victory? Hoeing the ice off my steps, walkway and enough of my driveway to make it out to the street without landing on my duff.

Today I finished the job and ice hoed / shoveled the majority of the driveway (which was still layered). Let's hear it for temperatures up around 50! So now if I fall it's my own damn "fallt". (:-/

OH, THE DARKENING DAYS ARE NO MORE, WE MOVE TOWARDS THE LIGHT FROM NOW ON :D Sorry for yelling but...2hrs 14mins of daylight (not even guaranteeing Sun bc there are clouds and things) does kinda gnaw the soul. I wouldn't change the never-setting summer sun for anything, I would not, but sometimes the dark does get to me.

Anyway, Finnish Lapland rant over and I do not even live in the actual Polar Night Zone.

A recent victory was tabling at the Christmas Market and ppl buying some of my one pager zines. My bestseller is drawings done on site but I'm always thrilled that ppl give me money for something that is not a sketch of their own face/their dog/grandchild. Not sure if it counts but it made me happy.
