Obviously, my icons have a bit of a theme.
This is from an actual Minoan fresco, and I picked it 1) for music and 2) to be different from most of my other icons (since it features a Minoan male in a long outfit).
This was drawn by the fantabulously talented Ileliberte. It's a Minoan version of my Favorite LJ Icon.
A piece of art Istole off found on the Web; it depicts the Thera eruption. I use it for disasters, since disaster = crisis + opportunity.
An illustration for something or other, of Minoan traders and an Egyptian official. For exchanges, among other things.
Minoan ladies gaming. I might swap this one out. OTOH, it lacks bare breasts (yay, carefully arranged arms and camera angles!) so I may not.
A Black girl (who looks kinda sorta like me) as a Minoan (also drawn by Ileliberte). We know there were Black people in Minoan art, and it was a cosmopolitan place, so why not? Besides, it makes me feel like I'm trying to hide something if I have no indication of who I am offline.
