I just ran across this video with Gordon Ramsay eating bull's penis soup with a Malaysian biker chick! It's just as funny as you'd expect. But I love Fuchsia Dunlop's cookbooks - now I have to go look through them to find the recipe for bull penis! Oh, and in place of an old hen, I suppose you could use an old cock-a-doodle-doo ;-)

I couldn't find such a recipe in any of the three cookbooks by Fuchsia Dunlop that I have, but she does describe seeing a group of men sharing a bull's-penis hotpot for lunch. (I think I would find the texture very unpleasant.)

Well, if one's going to eat an animal one might as well eat as much as possible, I guess.

My mother used to make (Jamaican style) bull's pizzle soup and it really does have a pleasantly gelatinous texture. The day I asked her what the pale pink jellylike meat in the soup was was really epic (I was 14 and my reaction was quite hilarious).
