Four More Superheroines

This picture is a not entirely successful experiment, but there are things I did here I'll do again. (The iconic 'S' is not one of them.)

Bumblebee! \o/ I really like how this one came out.




I couldn't resist. Natasha would pull this off with aplomb despite the dumb outfit.

Oh yes, great! Gamora's outfit looks sensible compared to some comic designs I've seen, and the whole Bumblebee picture is coloured pleasantly. I especially love the transparent wings overlapping, nice!

beams I wanted to give Gamora something spaceesque yet, you know, something a woman of action could wear. And I am really pleased with myself about Bumblebee's wings too. You picked out some of my favorite things about my little works here. :D

I guess this is where my total ignorance of the modern comics scene renders me unable to comment on anything but the visual delights of the various costumes. (The only one I recognize at all is the one with the "iconic S" on her bodice.)

With all these superheroines, I would expect you to be aware of the alternate world of Terramagne, where there really are such things as super-powers. It seems to be originally the creation of elysabetwordsmith, and since it's a massively shared world, there are all sorts of super-people in it. My friend siliconshaman writes a lot of stories in his little corner of that world - he even wrote me in as a minor character when I gave him some technical advice! (And isn't gingicat involved in that world also?)

Anyhow, there are plenty of superheroines and superheros who could use costume artwork!

Very good advice, and I'm in much the same boat with regard to the modern comics scene.

One correction: ysabetwordsmith. The "El" is in her mundane / legal / official name.

I know, but at the time, the way I was feeling, it didn't seem worth the effort on the smartphone and put it into a private message.

I wish I had time to immerse myself in Terramagne, and read ysabetwordsmith's journal, and maybe even write something myself... but I spend too much time sitting at my computer already...
