So people near me have had to put up with my crush on Oscar Isaac for a few months now, but/and I couldn't resist pasting this into my diary. E snarked at me for watching so intently and I tried to explain that while he is very pretty he's also an accomplished actor saying interesting things about his roles. She just laughed at me, which I deserve. :D

I met Dave van Ronk a couple of times via Walkabout Clearwater and again because he performed at a short-lived resurrection of Folk City in the 90s. His guitar playing was extraordinary and I always wondered why he wasn’t famous outside of Folkies in the Know.

On the one hand this is awesomely cool, but on the other, his character is an asshole and the whole movie is terribly ose. I think I'll try to find more interviews with him featuring Mr. Van Ronk instread.
