So this is what I've made to use the candied flowers. Let's see how it turns out.
8 oz chopped white chocolate (REAL white chocolate, not those nasty imitation chips)
3 tbsp heavy cream
2 tbsp sugar
big pinch salt
3 tbsp matcha green tea powder (it needs to be really finely milled)
a spritz of cooking spray or water
candied flower petals or sprinkles or tiny candies
Line a small square or rectangular dish (I used a 4"x6" glass dish) with plastic wrap. Spritz lightly with cooking spray or water, and scatter with the flower petals/sprinkles/candies, being careful to distribute them as evenly as possible. Set aside.
Put cream, sugar, and salt into a 4-cup microwave safe bowl or measuring cup and microwave for 30 seconds to help dissolve the sugar. Stirr with a spatula, add the white chocolate, and microwave for 1 minute. Stir vigorously till all lumps are melted. Add green tea and stir vigorously until thoroughly combined. Taste for seasoning and add more sugar if necessary (but be careful, as it may not fully dissolve at this point). DOLLOP mixture into prepared pan (adding it in one big lump will push the decorations askew), smooth with spatula, cover with trailing ends of plastic wrap, and refrigerate to set.
Now let's see what happens! Warm, it tasted milky and grassy with a nice bitter touch. I think the flowers will go well with that background.
