Woot woot! I went to ceo and gosling's awesome party, surveyed their beautiful backyard with both eyes this time, talked to many nifty people, and received an awesome compliment/challenge: St. I said that if anyone could make candied sushi work it would be me. *beams and beams* I will have to try that for his and hammercock's party next Sunday! And I got to watch S show off his fiber arts and he was very kind to me, bringinign me drink and helping me get out of the Most Ever Comfortable Chair.

I also need to write down some recipes to post here, as I winnow them to their final form.

I went from the party to see WD and he kindly put up with the extremely silly and fun _The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard_ for my sake. Salma Hayek is sooooooooooooooo hot.

It was, as always, lovely to see you! Probably because of the heat, people didn't seem to eat much and we ended up with a ton of leftovers, including nearly all of my veggie lasagna and a bunch of your awesome jerk chicken and pork, the latter of which I am at this moment finishing off for lunch. We also ran out of juice and seltzer and had a ton of beer left over, again probably because of the heat.

Yay beer! I feel a little better now about the thing I didnt get a chance to bring: I wanted to bring martini flavored jello shots in honor of Tom Lehrer but I wasn't able to.

I'm very glad the jerk meats held up just like my ancestors intended.
