drglam had a splendid inflatable palm-tree-bedecked party at which she and Crystal both talked me up to people and I had a lovely time. WD came with as well, woot woot! She had us all wear nametags and she introduced people to each other so social circles would blend.

I worried that my jerk seasoning was too mild (I was really precise about removing all the seeds and placentas[1] because habaneros are a little firey) but ceo really liked it, which is good, since that's what I'm using on the chicken I'm bringing to his and Gosling's party next week. :D Also people delighted in the candy sushi. One of these days I should make that from scratch so I can make it gluten free (commercial Rice Krispies have wheat in them whereas actual puffed rice doesn't).

[1] yes tht's what the pale structures inside peppers that hold the seeds are called. They also hold the majority of the capsaicin.

I did not know that was what the membranes inside peppers were called! That's great. I did know they had quite a lot of the heat in them. Fiery placentas!
