I mean, these are literally people who said "The cruelty is the point" and are pretty obviously headed down the road toward concentration camps and mass exterminations. These are literally Nazis v2.0, with ICE as the SS.

Yeah, that is some top-tier fascist BS there. They didn't want those citizens-but-not-really-nudge-nudge-wink-wink to be able to stay in the country, so they didn't give the mothers any chance to make other arrangements. They've already seen that they can get away with kidnapping and exporting people despite court orders; they're not going to worry about a little coercion. It's disgusting. :-(

One of the most prominent Christian values (and one of the things the late Pope felt was most important) is compassion. But Our Fearsome Leader and his cronies have stated on many occasions that their world view teaches that compassion is a WEAKNESS, and none of them want to ever be weak.

And giving rights to one group of people doesn't necessarily mean TAKING RIGHTS AWAY from everybody else. Although The Idiot-In-Chief likes to take rights away from people. People whose great-grandparents were born in the USA can be rounded up and deported for the crime of saying they disagree with our leader. How dare anyone offend our ally Israel by saying that killing Palestinians is a bad thing? ("Freedom of speech - isn't that one of those Commie things in the Constitution?)

But thank you for including "The New Colossus" in your poetry distribution.

The folks complaining about "anti-Christian bias" arrested a pastor for protesting in the Capitol rotunda.

I like Reverend Barber, so thank you for this link. Rabbi Arthur Waskow would lead the Freedom Seder 50th anniversary with Reverend Barber at a local mosque.
