Lauren Boebert forced to apologize after trying to kick out ‘a guy’ from women’s bathroom at Capitol

I wish she'd be forced to apologize to anyone she hassles in a bathroom, but at least she's getting the tiniest bit of payback for rushing so fast at an opportunity to be a flagrant bigot that she made an unforced error.

When Trump talked back to the minister for suggesting he find some mercy in his heart, he described her as "a far left liberal woman minister with a lesbian haircut". Any action or policy that isn't utterly brutal and punitive is "far left". And any woman over 5'3" tall is visibly a "man sneaking into a ladies bathroom to ogle their bodies and rape them." (I'm just barely 5'3 now, but my body language doesn't completely read as "femme")

Here in NJ, yesterdays "ICE" raids rounded up all the workers in a seafood restaurant in Newark, and one of them had been a member of the US military, and presented his ID to the raiders. The owner of the restaurant said the ones they arrested were all good hard workers who showed up for work every day, and how is he going to run his restaurant without workers?

In the past, particularly when I was working in construction, I've had people misgender me around bathroom selection.

These days, I am absolutely ready to start (argumentative, nonviolent) shit with anyone who tries that. "Can you tell if I have a uterus? I don't, you know. I don't have ovaries, either."

I was quite possibly the first woman radio engineer in NYC's radio world after they'd had to replace all the men with women because of World War 2. " Hey, women can't be engineers. Everybody knows women can't possibly understand any machinery more complicated than a hair dryer." I just really got very good at audio engineeering, and 'Hey= you can't do that, can you?""Watch me!"
At least I didn't have to defend my choice of rest rooms. The ladies room was locked, and I was issued a key. Once a female celebrity (Jane Fonda) was appearing on one of the station's talk shows. It was the weekend, and there were no other women on the station premises. I was asked to loan her my key to the ladies' room,so I did.

I have too many friends who wave to me from inside the QUILTBAG, and I believe it's polite to treat people as what they say they are. And I don't exhibit any girly behaviors, although my hair is below my shoulders. (My adult son wears his hair almost as long as mine, and he gets misgendered frequently.) So, I'm the new engineer here, and, yes, I'm a woman, but I was born with an affinity with machinery, so, yes, I do know what I'm doing.

Boebert admitted she “made an error regarding a mistaken identity” in a statement to the Daily Beast. “I apologized, learned a lesson, and it won’t happen again,” Boebert said.

Oh, may she be apologizing for the rest of her miserable life. I don't trust her to know what any kind of person looks like, including the basic definition of one.
