If he genuinely attacked, there’d be nothing we could do. No other country will go against the US to defend Canada, and we have a minuscule military. But I don’t expect it to get that far. Trump is flighty and something else is going to capture his attention. Also literally 87% of Canadians want nothing to do with becoming part of the US, so the idea that we’d see him as a savior is just… not a thing. We’d become like France during WW2, an occupied country that returned to being itself once occupation ended.

He actually said during the press conference yesterday that he would not use military force against Canada. Just economic force. For the first time ever, I believed him, because it makes sense in his self-centered world view. Trump is a real estate mogul, real estate is Canada's biggest industry, and a military invasion would destroy all the assets he wants to steal from us.
