How I feel about this character: he taught me what the Sexy Attractive Vampire Character is supposed to look like and how magnetic that archetype should feel. All the people I ship romantically with this character: MICHAEL, all the Boys in a vampire pile. My non-romantic OTP for this character: don't really have one. I watched this in the throes of puberty. My unpopular opinion about this character: He should get more credit for developing this archetype. David flapped so Spike could fly. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. I SO wanted the implied orgy. SO MUCH.

How I feel about this character: Brilliant for his time. A lot of people don't realize this but one of the underpinnings of the character type is the "Tragic Mulatto" All the people I ship romantically with this character: Kirk, Uhura (I like the Reboot movie) My non-romantic OTP for this character Bones, ahahaha the snark! My unpopular opinion about this character: I often don't recognize him, or Kirk, in many K/S stories. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. I wish we had seen more of Spock/Uhura, or maybe that the fandom hadn't reacted so vilely to the pairing.

Bones got a love interest in the episode, "For the world is hollow, and I have touched the sky," - There was a world that was a hollowed-out asteroid, and a society of women rule it, and the men do the manual labor. The world was going to collide with another planet in another hundred years or so. But the leader of the women fell for McCoy, and offered to let him stay and be her consort. McCoy had been complaining about being bored with handing out simple medications to otherwise healthy Starfleet members, and didn't want to spend the rest of his life doing that. So a doomed journey to the unknown seemed tempting. Of course, Spock and Kirk convinced him to stay on the Enterprise, because his skills were so vital to the mission - and Kirk, because McCoy was his friend.

In the reboot, Kirk wound up banging a green Orion girl who was Uhura's roommate at the academy. Spock was too young to worry about pon far then. And Uhura was an intelligent and skilled young woman, attractive by human standards, and capable of working efficiently with Spock on technical problems. (SHe also had a bit of a romance with Scotty in the movie "God needs to borrow the Enterprise to escape". And in one adventure, she mentioned that she sometimes would wander around the ship if she couldn't sleep at night - she just wanted to make sure everything was OK, like a mother making sure the kids were all asleep in their beds. (That leads me to believe she was one of those who could see and talk to the spirit of the Enterprise.)

It strikes me that Vulcan reproductive biology would make sex between two men and two women a fairly unrewarding activity. And the orgasms produced by mutual caresses might not be intense enough to reset the hormones and prevent violent insanity.

How I feel about this character: Romance personified. One half of the kind of m/m pairing I see so often written so romantically in slashfic, but on the actual screen! All the people I ship romantically with this character; Joe/Nicky/anyone My non-romantic OTP for this character: I would have liked to explore his relationship with Booker more. My unpopular opinion about this character: He and Nicky are evenly matched on purpose. I do not like the fanon where Joe is Huge and Dark and Nicky is Small And Waiflike. Especially because I know where that fanon came from. Feh. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Well, one thing I wish for the future: I really hope that if/when we get TOG2 we don't get manufactured relationship drama. Joe may not know the singular of millennium but he and Nicky have been together for one.

The appeal for Joe is that Nicky is built like a brick shithouse, okay? Nicky is solid. The only time Nicky can be described as "waiflike" is when they're both starving to death and Joe doesn't think that's a good look. He likes Nicky strong enough to spar with for hours and then Nicky still has enough energy to cook for their family. (I head cannon Joe as being like me where he can cook, but his spouse enjoys it more and therefore he's ended up with a tourist visa to the kitchen where he's allowed to feed himself and help with prep, but rarely cooks himself.)

On one hand, stereotype. On the other hand, I've never met someone with Italian ancestry who couldn't cook if they wanted to. (I do know at least one who hates cooking even if he's good at it.)

How I feel about this character I LOVE HER SO MUCH I gained an extra layer of love when I hit puberty and it punched me back.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: Faramir, and a big Aragorn/Arwen/Faramir/Eowyn square. also Faramir/Epwyn/Merry

My non-romantic OTP for this character: I would love to see more of her relatioonship with her brother.

My unpopular opinion about this character: the debate about whether she went to war heroically or ditched a responsibility is really stupid. The situation is more complex than either.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. Not canon, but... inspired by a nifty analysis of Eowyn's name I always wanted to write a story where Eowyn is trans and Faramir is intersex.

As a technician, in magic my gift is considered a form of "smithcraft", and the goddess Brigid is known as a smith. But the one time I tried blacksmithing, I failed miserably. My hands are skilled, but not terribly strong; I couldn't swing the smallest hammer hard enough to shape steel.

It's such an EASY plot twist. And the female warrior is a battle-scarred old lady who's been a mercenary since she reached puberty, and she has no patience with fol-de-rol about prophecies and magical weaknesses. She takes her amazon-forged sword and goes snickersnack and there's one less bad guy to fight.

How I feel about this character I adore this big hearted alien battle goddess All the people I ship romantically with this character I wrote a story about this with six threesomes for her. I start with Dick and Donna and go from there. My non-romantic OTP for this character Donna Troy. Flying battle girls unite! My unpopular opinion about this character: So apparently she's solar powered. But so is Superman and his outfit is more than a few straps. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
More exploration of her alien culture. DC's idea of science fiction has always been really really thin.

(I don't know canon past a certain point, so, this may sound weird, but) So long as she has *some* kind of relationship/situationship/friendship with Dick, I don't mind *who* all she has a many-some with, because it just Works. OH and this discussion reminded me of something a friend wrote once about why Kory's suit is made of purple straps and why all the Tamaranians except Komand'r wear nearly no clothes -- they find covering one's skin mysterious and tittilating. So Komand'r Full Body Suit is the equivalent for them of a supervillainess wearing a bikini for us. Ahahahahahahaha

I think Sam actually says that to Frodo. And it worked, and Sam was there, and even Gollum's fate was to fall into the lava with the Ring in his mouth after he bit off Frodo's finger.

How I feel about this character Role model forevermore. All the people I ship romantically with this character A lot more than people might expect cackle I always love Rosie/Sam/Frodo and I also shipped Sam/Merry back in the day since they were agemates. My non-romantic OTP for this character Sam&Merry, Sam & Gandalf My unpopular opinion about this character some slash fangirls posited that he could barely stand to be in the room with Rosie Cotton. I always hated that. Also they got distracted by the caasting and forgot that Sam is younger than Frodo. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. I would have loved a scene of his restoring the Shire's trees.

How I feel about this character: I love the way he loves Steve. All the people I ship romantically with this character Steve, Steve & Peggy, Sam Wilson I really want to read or write a story where Sam and Bucky deal with, well, both being Steve's widowers. My non-romantic OTP for this character All the Howling Commandoes? My unpopular opinion about this character : I don't think he would be much impressed with Tony Stark. But then everyone but me is impressed with Tony Stark. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon. I hated Steve's ending in Endgame. It made Steve/Peggy heteronormative and made Steve just up and leave Bucky and Sam? Just leave BUCKY? WTFF.

Have you perchance read "Except It Abide in the Vine"? It's definitely about Sam and Bucky both dealing with the loss of Steve, but it goes on a really wild ride. I totally understand if it's not your cuppa.
