A question for a good reason

How do I dispose of an outdated, erased iPhone?

WD gave me his former phone when he upgraded, RK set it up for me, and WD finished getting it online for me.

He also put up with Grumpy Me, took me on two necessary errands (I have a Charlie Card again!) and fed and cosseted me. I feel infintely better now.

I, too, am interested in knowing the answers to this, as I have several old phones in a drawer that need to be disposed of in a socially responsible manner.

Does your local recycling center take electronics?

Not as far as I'm aware, alas.

My employer has on-site "e-waste recycling" days but they're sort of few and far between.

I live in a city not too far from y'all that DOES accept electronics recycling! I just walked there to return my old scanner and tablet to the circle of electronics life. You can always give your crap to me and I'll deliver it for y'all, it's free for residents like me. :D

Put them in a bag and bring them Thursday and I'll mail them all to one of the charities I found.

Take it to a phone store - they collect old phones and recondition them to sell them cheaply.
