Cloud seeding and the hurricanes: "It just doesn't make sense"

The kind of people who believe there's a government conspiracy behind hurricanes also believe that climate change/global warming isn't and cannot be anthropogenic. Trying to use science to educate such people is like trying to blow out a light bulb. "Da ist Hopfen und Malz verloren," as we say in German.

I rememer a lot of SFAns getting excited about experiments to determine if we could break up or weaken tropical storms before they got too big. There was talk of detonating an atomic bomb inside the eye - which would spread dangerously radioactive spray over an area several hundred miles wide. Mother Nature always bats last.
