RK is so good to me.

So she found a listing for a shower bench, which I've been wanting for awhile. I confirmed that it was exactly what I wanted, thought "she is so awesome," and ordered it. Meanwhile, she also ordered it. So we have two.

Meanwhile, my scleral lens doctor scolded me rightfully about my bad handling of the lenses, so I realized I need to put my lens setup within reach of my bed. So RK put the spare shower bench together for me for a bedside table.

Now I lie in bed with WD's A/C blowing coolness on me and RK's bedside table holding my vision setup.

This or something very similar is what our two shower benches look like. So handy that we brought them to Yorkshire.

My bedside table is intended to be a small dresser with drawers for use in a child's room, from IKEA. It exactly fits the spot next to my bed, the top is 24 inches square (room for my clock radio, a small lamp, and a box of tissues, and a little holster thing for my cell phone (and one just like it for my glasses). I store my nightgowns and pajamas in the dresser drawers, as well as various accessories That's why I like IKEA so much; it's easy to repurpose a lot of their designs to suit different functions. And as long as the shower bench is big enough to hold what you need. As soon as I finish reading DW I'm going to get dressed and go to IKEA for kitchen gadgets and wacky stuff which appears to be on sale now.
