I meant to post this yesterday as a counterpoint to all the depressing news, but/and here it is now, from the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe. Alas we can't attend but I thought knowing about it would be worth it.

About the Film: Navigate through the entwined stories of Nikola Tesla, Guglielmo
Marconi, and a secretive German wireless plant. With narration by Tony Todd, unearth
pivotal moments involving sabotage, shipwrecks, and the tales of the Telefunken
wireless plant.

Before the screening, attendees can immerse themselves in informative exhibits on
Tesla and radio technology. Afterward, join us for a compelling Q&A session with the
filmmaker, Joe Sikorski, Marc Alessi, Founding Executive Director of TSCW, and
Connie Currie, who led the effort to preserve the Telefunken site in West Sayville
in the 1990s. They'll discuss the stories behind the film.

Spotlight on Joseph Sikorski: A filmmaker recognized for his intricate narratives,
Sikorski emphasizes historical events through contemporary storytelling. His close
association with the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe showcases his passion for
documenting and sharing history.

I grew up on Long Island, but we never got a school field trip to Wardenclyffe. And now I live in New Jersey, less than a mile from where Marconi built his transmitter that communicated the results of the America's Cup race to the newpapers in NY. (There's a historic lighthouse site on that hill also. My son's class got a field trip to the lighthouse.) (If you're looking on Google Maps, go to Atlantic Highlands and look at Twin Lights.

And I would never have been able to get out to Long Island to see the show. It would take close to four hours to drive there (I remember from when we moved here).
