I should have looked this poet up when I was young. She was a child prodigy and she made the AABB and ABAB rhyme schemes sound fresh and new. I remembered "The Blind Girl" for 20 years, after all. Why didn't I try to find out what else she'd written?

I want to find the full text of some of these lovely poems (I adore the bits of "The Janitor Boy" here, they remind me of my own early poetry about desire) and I need to re-find "The Blind Girl" which I somehow don't have saved in my files.

I first encountered "The Janitor's Boy" in a Louis Untermeyer anthology. Within the past year I gave away two Crane anthologies, and now I'm sorry I don't have them to give to you.

The Janitor's boy and other poems. OCR'ed from the book, evidently reviewed and corrected for the text but not for various other stuff.

Also Full text of "Swear by the night and other poems;".

I haven't found any of her other books online, though there are a few poems from Lava Lane scattered around.

Thank you for telling me about her!

(I daresay there are quite a few of her poems that would be suitable as "pocke poems"!)

The presentation is a little odd, at least on my computer, but if you scroll down, a bunch of them are on
