Day 4:
I wrote about 20 versions of this, and deleted all of them. Really, my wishlist boils down to one thing: I want to be able to write stories again. I want to contribute again.
But meanwhile, I can write recommendations.
Day 3:
It took awhile to winnow this list down to 8 stories I wanted to promote. There are so many excellent fan works; fandom is a wonderful place. And, as a benefit, while choosing these I reread some stories and discovered three and left several comments. Woot!
I didn’t really have a pattern here, just some of the many fan works I have admired and loved.

Several wise people have created AU s where Captain America is. Captain Native America. This is my favorite, in its straightforward tenderness. As always, heed the headers, warnings, content notes, etc.

The story of the Indo European language family as a great big glorious soap opera. This should. Be an intro linguistics textbook; I don’t think I’ve ever learned so much while laughing in such delight, and I include when I was of age for Sesame Street.
